Goldworth is a free tool that answers one question instantly: what is your gold worth today? Enter karat, weight and a buyer payout assumption and we estimate the value from the current gold price — in your currency.
How we calculate
All figures derive from the international spot gold price, denominated in USD per troy ounce:
price_per_gram_pure = spot_USD_per_oz / 31.1035pure_gold_grams = weight_in_grams × purity(purity = karat ÷ 24, or a custom %)gross_value = pure_gold_grams × price_per_gram_purevalue_in_currency = gross_value × FX(USD→currency)payout = value_in_currency × buyer_payout_%
Weight units: grams, troy ounces (31.1035 g) and pennyweight / DWT (1.5552 g). Karat purities: 10K .417, 14K .585, 18K .750, 22K .917, 24K .999.
Data sources
The spot gold price is fetched from a metals price provider and the USD→currency exchange rates from a foreign-exchange provider. Each value carries its own timestamp — you'll see both a "gold price updated" and an "FX updated" time. If a source is temporarily unavailable, we show the last-known value with a stale indicator rather than a broken number.
Language & currency
We detect your country at the network edge to suggest a sensible default language and currency, but this only sets defaults — it never redirects or hides content, and you can switch at any time. Your choice is remembered on your device. Goldworth launches in English with USD, EUR, GBP, INR and AED; more currencies and languages (starting with Arabic) follow.
Estimates are not offers
Results are informational estimates based on live prices and your assumptions — not an appraisal, an offer to buy, or financial, tax or religious advice. A local buyer may pay less than spot.
